On the first "Welcome" dialog after manual installing where I have to choose the license
no option/button seems to have any effect. Only "Cancel" works.
Can I enter my evaluation key somewhere directly to bypass this problem ?
Any ideas to get to the main Zoom dialog ?

I use Archlinux
Linux chicken 2.6.32-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Feb 9 15:12:10 CET 2010 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux.

Best regards,
Ingo

Hi Ingo -

Do you see a dialog with 3 radio buttons under the "Thank you for choosing Zoom" headline? Are you saying that you can't click on the radio button to request an evaluation license or install a license file?

Yes, I see the dialog and the 3 radio buttons.
When I choose an option the "Next" button gets a black border so I can press it
but nothing happens - no matter what option I choose.

Does that machine have net access?

If you click on "Install license file", do you get a file dialog? If yes, you can request an evaluation from http://www.rotateright.com and install the trial license that gets sent to you via email.

Can you see which version of GTK you are running?

I wonder if this bug is causing the button problem:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=291257

Here's a possible work-around:

Thank you, that bug was the cause, sorry that I didn't find the solution myself as you already have mentioned in the faq.

A step forward, a new problem.
I have submitted the report via the gui ... I should have cleaned it up before submitting.

Here are the first few lines.
